- Conduct First Article Inspections at supplier facilities and contract manufacturers.
- Manage the SCAR process: issue SCARs, drive 8D investigations, verify action.
- Review and disposition SCNs for changes to parts, processes, materials, and sub-suppliers.
- Maintain and enforce Parallel's AVL; qualify new suppliers and suspend underperforming ones.
- Serve as quality authority at the contract manufacturer; conduct stage-gate inspections and sign off vehicle acceptance.
🎯 Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Manufacturing, or Quality Engineering, or related field.
- 4–7 years in supplier quality or manufacturing quality in hardware.
- Hands-on APQP/PPAP experience, reviewing and dispositioning 18-element submissions.
- Proficiency with FMEA (DFMEA/PFMEA), control plans, and process capability (Cpk, SPC).
- Experience issuing and managing SCAR/8D with external suppliers.
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, GD&T, and material specs.
