Supplier Development Engineer, Mechanical (Starshield)

📋 Description

• Improve quality, cost, delivery, and capacity for Starshield mechanical hardware.
• Collaborate on part design, assembly, metrology, and design intent with teams.
• Support procurement to source parts by supplier capability; review processes.
• Define supplier technical and quality requirements for NPI and production.
• Lead root-cause analysis to resolve supplier quality issues with cross-functional teams.
• Implement PPAP with suppliers to enable rate production.

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in engineering or STEM.
• 1+ years manufacturing/process engineering experience or 1+ year internship.
• Willingness to obtain US government Top Secret clearance.
• Knowledge of GD&T; Lean, Six Sigma; and DOE.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
• Onsite in Hawthorne, CA; remote not allowed; travel up to 60%.
