Role Overview

We are seeking a Workplace Environments Designer to join Stripe in Chicago. In this on-site role, you will design and optimize physical spaces that enable teams to work efficiently, meet creatively, and scale with our growing global footprint. You will partner with real estate, facilities, design, and operations to create human-centered environments that reflect Stripe’s culture and brand.

Responsibilities

Lead concept development and detailed design of workplace environments, including open areas, meeting spaces, lounges, and event spaces.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams on space standards, occupancy planning, wayfinding, and ergonomics.
Create functional, safe, accessible, and visually compelling interior design concepts.
Develop scalable design systems for current and future office locations.
Manage project timelines, budgets, and relationships with vendors and contractors.
Partner with sustainability teams to incorporate energy efficiency and material choices.

Qualifications

5+ years of experience in interior or workplace design for commercial environments.
Strong portfolio demonstrating office or corporate interior projects.
Proficiency with design and visualization tools (e.g., AutoCAD, Revit, SketchUp).
Expertise in space planning, acoustics, lighting, accessibility, and ergonomics.
Excellent collaboration and communication skills; ability to influence and present to leadership.
Willingness to travel as needed.
