Stripe is seeking a UX Researcher, Risk to help build safe, user-friendly payment experiences by researching risk-related user behaviors, fraud patterns, and trust signals across the platform.

Responsibilities

Plan and conduct user research studies to inform risk product features and policies.
Design and run usability tests, interviews, and surveys.
Partner with Product, Design, and Data Science teams to translate insights into actionable requirements.
Develop research plans, recruit participants, and synthesize findings into personas and journey maps.
Analyze qualitative and quantitative data to validate hypotheses and guide decision-making.
Communicate findings clearly to cross-functional teams and leadership.
Contribute to risk-related onboarding, payments, and risk scoring features.
Ensure ethical research practices and privacy considerations.

Qualifications

3+ years of experience in UX research or equivalent.
Experience with qualitative and mixed-methods research.
Strong ability to synthesize insights into actionable recommendations.
Excellent communication and storytelling skills.
Familiarity with privacy and data security considerations.
Proficiency with research methods: interviews, usability testing, surveys, and analytics.
Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent.

Nice-to-have

Experience in payments, fintech, or risk domains.
Knowledge of statistical analysis or experimentation (A/B testing).
Experience with personas, journey mapping, and task analysis.
