Overview
Stripe is seeking a UX Researcher, Risk to help build safe, user-friendly payment experiences by researching risk-related user behaviors, fraud patterns, and trust signals across the platform.
Responsibilities
- Plan and conduct user research studies to inform risk product features and policies.
- Design and run usability tests, interviews, and surveys.
- Partner with Product, Design, and Data Science teams to translate insights into actionable requirements.
- Develop research plans, recruit participants, and synthesize findings into personas and journey maps.
- Analyze qualitative and quantitative data to validate hypotheses and guide decision-making.
- Communicate findings clearly to cross-functional teams and leadership.
- Contribute to risk-related onboarding, payments, and risk scoring features.
- Ensure ethical research practices and privacy considerations.
Qualifications
- 3+ years of experience in UX research or equivalent.
- Experience with qualitative and mixed-methods research.
- Strong ability to synthesize insights into actionable recommendations.
- Excellent communication and storytelling skills.
- Familiarity with privacy and data security considerations.
- Proficiency with research methods: interviews, usability testing, surveys, and analytics.
- Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent.
Nice-to-have
- Experience in payments, fintech, or risk domains.
- Knowledge of statistical analysis or experimentation (A/B testing).
- Experience with personas, journey mapping, and task analysis.
