Stripe builds economic infrastructure for the internet. The Technical Solutions Engineer role focuses on helping developers and customers integrate Stripe’s APIs and payments solutions, troubleshoot technical issues, and share best practices to ensure successful implementations.
What you'll do
- Collaborate with developers and customers to understand technical requirements and provide effective integration guidance.
- Assist with API integration, webhooks setup, and payment workflows to ensure reliable, scalable implementations.
- Diagnose and troubleshoot technical issues, reproduce defects, and communicate resolutions clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Create and share technical documentation, sample code, and best-practice recommendations to accelerate adoption.
- Partner with cross-functional teams (Sales, Engineering, Success) to deliver a high-quality customer experience during onboarding and ongoing support.
What you’ll bring
- Strong experience with RESTful APIs and integrating software using APIs and webhooks.
- Proficiency in at least one backend language (e.g., Node.js, Python, Java, Ruby, Go).
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to explain complex technical concepts to both developers and business stakeholders.
- Knowledge of payments and fintech concepts is a plus.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple customer engagements concurrently.
Nice to have
- Experience with payments platforms, PCI considerations, or security best practices related to API integrations.
- Familiarity with cloud services (AWS, GCP, Azure) and containerization (Docker, Kubernetes).
