Specialist Solutions Architect, Banking as a Service

Overview

Stripe is seeking a Senior Specialist Solutions Architect for Banking as a Service to lead technical engagements with enterprise customers and design scalable, API-driven banking solutions. You will partner with product, engineering, and partnerships teams to enable banks and fintechs to embed payments and financial services using Stripe’s Banking-as-a-Service platform.

Responsibilities

• Design and translate customer requirements into architecture and integration plans using Stripe APIs.
• Deliver reference architectures, technical blueprints, and best practices.
• Lead architecture workshops and assist customers during integrations and migrations.
• Collaborate with Product and Engineering to influence roadmap, security, and compliance standards.
• Provide technical leadership during deployments and post-live support.

Requirements

• 7+ years of solutions architecture or technical field engineering experience, preferably in fintech or payments.
• Deep experience with API-first architectures, REST/gRPC, webhooks, and security best practices.
• Strong cloud experience (AWS, GCP, or Azure) and experience with microservices, containers, and CI/CD.
• Knowledge of payments industry regulations and security standards.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills; ability to work with partners and customers globally.
