Solutions Architect, Startup & SMB

Job Overview

Stripe is seeking a Senior Solutions Architect for Startup & SMB to help early-stage and growing businesses design scalable payments solutions using Stripe APIs. You will collaborate with sales, customer success, and engineering to translate complex business needs into practical technical architectures and help customers accelerate value from Stripe.

Responsibilities

• Translate customer requirements into technical architectures using Stripe products (Payments, Billing, Connect)
• Lead technical pre-sales discussions, deliver architecture demonstrations, and draft reference architectures
• Collaborate with product, engineering, and security teams to improve integrations and resolve technical blockers
• Provide guidance during onboarding and post-sale deployment, and share best practices for reliability, security, and compliance
• Represent customer needs inside Stripe to influence roadmap and enable scalable solutions

Requirements

• 5+ years experience in solutions architecture, solutions engineering, or equivalent
• Strong knowledge of web technologies and RESTful APIs
• Practical experience with payments ecosystems and API-driven integrations
• Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and modern DevOps practices
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills; comfortable presenting to executives and technical stakeholders
• Willingness to travel as needed (or remote with occasional visits) – adapt to startup/ SMB needs
