Sanctions Operations Specialist at Stripe

About Stripe
Stripe is a technology company building economic infrastructure for the internet. This role sits within Stripe’s Global Compliance team focusing on sanctions programs and risk controls to help ensure Stripe complies with applicable sanctions laws.
Responsibilities
- Review and investigate sanctions screening alerts to determine risk and required actions.
- Escalate high-risk cases and coordinate with cross-functional teams (Payments, Legal, Risk).
- Maintain and improve sanctions screening processes, controls, and documentation.
- Assist with regulatory requests and audit trails related to sanctions programs.
- Contribute to policy updates and training materials for the organization.
Qualifications
- Experience with sanctions, AML, or risk management in fintech or payments.
- Strong analytical and investigative skills with attention to detail.
- Knowledge of OFAC or other sanctions regimes and related regulations.
- Experience with risk systems, data analysis, and reporting.
- Excellent collaboration, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
