Product Designer, Design Systems — Stripe

Stripe builds economic infrastructure for the internet. As a Product Designer on the Design Systems team, you will shape the reusable components, tokens, and guidelines that power Stripe’s products across teams, regions, and platforms.

What you'll do

• Design, maintain, and evolve Stripe's Design System (components, tokens, guidelines) to support scalable product experiences.
• Collaborate with product managers, engineers, researchers, and other designers to define components, patterns, and accessibility standards.
• Create and maintain design documentation, contribute to design tokens, and promote design system adoption across squads.
• Influence product strategy and roadmaps by advocating for consistent, accessible, and inclusive design practices.
• Mentor junior designers and help grow the design-system community.

What we're looking for

• 5+ years of product design experience with a strong track record in building or contributing to design systems or component libraries.
• Proficiency with design and prototyping tools (e.g., Figma) and a strong portfolio demonstrating scalable design solutions.
• Deep knowledge of user-centered design, accessibility (WCAG), responsive design, and usability testing.
• Excellent collaboration and communication skills; ability to partner with engineers and product teams across the company.
• Experience shipping across multiple platforms (web/mobile) and mentoring other designers is a plus.
• Fintech or B2B product experience is a plus.
