Operations Associate, Financial Crimes (AML Investigations)

Stripe is seeking an Operations Associate, Financial Crimes (AML Investigations) to join the Global Risk and Compliance team. This role focuses on AML investigations, alert triage, and case management to prevent illicit financial activity across Stripe’s platform. You will work with cross-functional teams to gather evidence, document findings, and help develop scalable processes for ongoing monitoring. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, demonstrates integrity, and can manage multiple investigations with accuracy in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Review and triage AML alerts and case notices
• Conduct investigations, document findings, and track case status
• Collaborate with Security, Compliance, Legal, and Product teams to gather data
• Support process improvements to scale AML monitoring and investigations
• Maintain confidential handling of sensitive information

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience
• 1-3 years of experience in AML, financial crime, or compliance operations
• Strong analytical and investigative skills with attention to detail
• Excellent written and verbal communication; ability to document complex cases clearly
• Comfort with handling confidential information and working in a fast-paced environment
• Experience with data analysis tools and case management systems is a plus
