Role Overview

We are seeking a Hardware Program Manager to lead end-to-end hardware programs for Stripe’s Card Operations. You will partner with Product, Hardware Engineering, Supply Chain, Security, Legal, and Compliance to deliver hardware solutions that meet operational requirements and regulatory standards. This is a cross-functional, high-impact role that requires strategic thinking, program discipline, and strong collaboration across teams.

Responsibilities

  • Lead hardware programs from concept through launch, including defining requirements, milestones, schedules, risk management, BOMs, cost targets, and manufacturing plans
  • Collaborate with Product Management, Hardware Engineering, Security, Legal, and Compliance to ensure programs meet safety, security, and regulatory standards
  • Manage vendor selection, qualification, contracts, and ongoing supplier relationships
  • Develop and maintain program dashboards, progress reports, and executive updates; communicate status and trade-offs to leadership
  • Identify and mitigate risks, resolve issues, and drive decisions to keep programs on track
  • Partner with Card Operations to align hardware programs with operational workflows and support continuous improvement

Qualifications

  • 5+ years of hardware program management, supply chain, or related experience
  • Proven track record delivering complex hardware programs on time and within budget
  • Experience with manufacturing, supply chain, and vendor management
  • Excellent cross-functional collaboration and communication skills
  • Familiarity with card networks (Visa/Mastercard) and security/compliance considerations is a plus
  • Ability to travel as needed
