Stripe builds the economic infrastructure for the internet. We are looking for an Engineering Manager, Compliance Observability in Bucharest to lead our observability and compliance efforts across Stripe's platform.

About the Role

Lead and grow a team focused on observability for compliance controls, ensuring scalable, auditable systems that support Stripe's regulatory requirements.

Responsibilities

Lead and mentor a team of software engineers
Define and execute a strategy for compliance observability across Stripe's products and services
Design, implement, and maintain monitoring, logging, and tracing for compliance controls
Collaborate with Product, Platform, Security, and Legal to translate regulatory requirements into engineering solutions
Drive the technical roadmap and contribute to incident response and security initiatives
Partner with Recruiting and People teams to hire and develop talent

Qualifications

Experience leading software engineering teams
Strong background in observability, monitoring, logging, and tracing
Knowledge of cloud platforms and distributed systems
Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience
