Business Systems Architect, Financial Systems

Stripe is hiring a Senior Business Systems Architect for Financial Systems in Bengaluru. You will design and scale Stripe's financial systems, partner with Finance, Engineering and Product, and own the architecture for data flows, reporting, and integrations across the financial stack.

Role overview

As a Senior Business Systems Architect, you will define the strategy and implementation of financial systems ensuring reliability, compliance and scalability.

Responsibilities

• Define and own the end-to-end architecture for financial systems (GL, AR/AP, revenue recognition, billing).
• Design data models and integration patterns across ERP, financial planning tools, and downstream systems.
• Collaborate with Finance, Legal and Security to meet regulatory and security requirements.
• Evaluate vendors and lead technical vendor selection where needed.
• Mentor engineers and analysts; drive best practices in system design and data governance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or higher in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field.
• 8+ years of experience in enterprise/financial systems architecture.
• Strong knowledge of SQL and data modeling; experience with integration approaches (APIs, ETL).
• Experience with Workday, Oracle Financials, SAP, NetSuite or similar ERP systems is a plus.
• Excellent communication and ability to influence cross-functional teams.
