Account Executive, SMB (New Business) at Stripe
Stripe is seeking an Account Executive, SMB (New Business) to join our Sales team in Chicago. This on-site role focuses on acquiring and growing small to medium-sized businesses by delivering Stripe’s payments platform, driving revenue, and building lasting partnerships.
What You'll Do
- Own the full sales cycle for SMB accounts in the Chicago area from prospecting to close
- Identify, qualify, and engage high-potential SMB opportunities
- Deliver tailored product demonstrations and proposals that address customer needs
- Negotiate terms, manage contracts, and collaborate with cross-functional teams (Marketing, Enablement, Success)
- Maintain a robust pipeline, forecast accurately, and drive quota attainment
What We're Looking For
- 3+ years of SaaS or payments/fintech sales experience with a proven SMB closing track record
- Strong communication, presentation, and negotiation skills
- Ability to work independently in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment
- Knowledge of Stripe products is a plus; existing network in Chicago is beneficial
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
