Strategic Investments & Consolidation Accounting Director

📋 Description

• Lead accounting, reporting, governance for strategic investments and complex transactions.
• Partner with cross-functional teams to implement accounting conclusions in close processes.
• Develop scalable operating models, governance, and reporting infrastructure.
• Build and develop a high-performing team with scalable ownership models.
• Drive process improvements and automation to boost efficiency and control quality.
• Serve as a trusted advisor balancing accounting rigor with business goals.

🎯 Requirements

• CPA/CA or equivalent, with 12+ years in technical accounting, consolidation, SEC reporting, or public-company leadership.
• Deep US GAAP expertise in ASC 810, including VIEs, consolidation, and related disclosures.
• Strong experience evaluating complex ownership structures, joint ventures, and governance arrangements.
• Significant investment accounting experience under ASC 323 and ASC 321 (equity method, fair value, impairments, ownership changes).
• Experience supporting strategic investments and non-standard transactions from accounting conclusions through ongoing reporting.
• Proven ability to translate complex accounting conclusions into scalable close, reporting, controls, and governance processes.
