We are looking for a
Staff Engineerto lead the design, development, and optimization of AI-powered platforms with a strong focus on
Python,
API development, and
AWS AI services. You will be instrumental in shaping system architecture, mentoring engineers, and driving end-to-end solutions that leverage
NLP,
cloud services, and
modern frontend frameworks.As a Staff Engineer, you’ll be a key technical leader partnering closely with product, design, and engineering teams to build scalable and intelligent systems.
Key Responsibilities: - Architect and build scalable, high-performance backend systems usingPython
- Design robustRESTful APIsand guide the engineering team on best practices for performance and security
- LeverageAWS AI/ML services(e.g., Comprehend, Lex, SageMaker) to build intelligent features and capabilities
- Provide technical leadership onNLPsolutions using libraries such asspaCy,transformers, orNLTK
- Ensure comprehensiveunit testingacross APIs and databases; advocate for clean, testable code
- Guide the development of full-stack features involvingJavaScript,React, andNext.js
- Own and evolve system architecture, ensuring modularity, scalability, and resilience
- Promote strong engineering practices withGit,Bitbucket, and CI/CD tooling
- Collaborate cross-functionally to drive technical decisions aligned with product goals
- Mentor engineers across levels and foster a culture of technical excellence
Technical Requirements: - 8+ years of hands-on software development experience, primarily inPython
- Proven expertise inAPI development, system design, and performance tuning
- Strong background inAWS, particularlyAI/ML and NLP services
- Experience building intelligent features usingNLP frameworks
- Proficiency infront-end technologies: JavaScript, React, Next.js (preferred)
- Solid understanding ofRDBMS(PostgreSQL, MySQL or similar)
- Expert inversion control systemsand collaborative workflows
- Track record of technical leadership, mentoring, and architectural ownership
Preferred Qualifications: - Experience withmicroservices,event-driven architectures, orserverless systems
- Familiarity withDocker,Kubernetes, and infrastructure-as-code tools
- Prior experience in leading cross-functional engineering initiatives
