Buyer at Stitch Fix

Stitch Fix is seeking a results-driven Buyer to join our merchandising team in a remote capacity. As a Buyer, you will source and select fashion products that align with Stitch Fix’s brand and customer preferences, build and manage vendor relationships, and help shape our assortments. You will analyze trends, forecast demand, and coordinate with design, product, and analytics teams to ensure timely delivery and optimal inventory. This role requires strong negotiation, analytical skills, and a collaborative mindset.

Responsibilities

• Source and select merchandise across fashion categories
• Manage vendor relationships and negotiate terms
• Analyze market trends and customer data to inform assortments
• Forecast demand and manage purchase orders and lead times
• Collaborate with design, product, and analytics teams to optimize inventory
• Monitor performance and adjust assortments accordingly

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in merchandising, fashion, or related field
• 2+ years of buying/merchandising experience in retail or e-commerce
• Strong negotiation and analytical skills
• Proficiency with data tools (e.g., Excel) and ability to interpret sales data
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills
