TECHNOLOGY ORGANIZATION OVERVIEW
KKR’s Technology team is responsible for building and supporting the firm’s technological foundation including a globally distributed infrastructure, information security, and the application and data platforms. The team drives a culture of technology excellence across the firm through efficient workflow automation, democratization of data through modern data and collaboration platforms, and more recently through research and development of Generative AI based tools and services. Technology is regarded as a key business enabler at KKR and is an important accelerator to drive towards global scale creation and business process transformation. The Technology team consists of highly technical and business-centric technologists with the ability to form strong partnerships across all of our businesses. A dedicated Program Management function along with the Product Managers drive execution discipline across multiple technology teams with a goal to consistently deliver excellence serving our business needs.
POSITION SUMMARY
We are seeking an experienced Data Integration / API Engineer to design and implement robust data pipelines that connect systems such as Investran and other .NET-based applications with our Snowflake data warehouse. The ideal candidate will have a strong foundation in SQL, .NET, APIs, and experience building automated ETL workflows to ensure high-quality, reliable data movement across systems.This role blends hands-on development responsibilities with cross-functional leadership, mentorship, and strategic architectural guidance. This position is a full-time position and will be onsite in our Gurugram office. We are operating in a 4 day in office, 1-day flexible work arrangement.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
• Design, develop, and maintain data ingestion and integration pipelines between source systems (e.g., Investran, SaaS applications) and Snowflake.• Build and automate ETL/ELT workflows to extract, transform, and load data efficiently and reliably.• Develop and manage API-based integrations for data transfer between systems.• Implement data quality, validation, and reliability checks to ensure integrity across data flows.• Collaborate with data architects, analysts, and business teams to design scalable data models and pipelines.• Optimize data pipeline performance and troubleshoot data flow issues proactively.• Maintain documentation and version control for all pipeline development and integration processes.• Develop and support Windows-based applications; occasionally work on web applications.• Collaborate with business users to understand requirements and deliver accurate, high-quality solutions.• Create Excel-based tools or add-ins using VSTO (Visual Studio Tools for Office) to automate reporting and analysis (preferred).• Ensure code quality, performance, and maintainability.
QUALIFICATIONS & TECHNICAL SKILLS
• 5–7 years of experience in data engineering, integration, or backend development.• Strong expertise in SQL and .NET (C#) for system-to-system integrations.• Hands-on experience building ETL/ELT workflows and working with Snowflake.• Proficiency in API development and consumption (REST, JSON, authentication methods).• Solid understanding of data quality frameworks, monitoring, and error handling.• Experience connecting SaaS and on-premise applications to cloud data platforms.• Working knowledge of cloud environments (AWS, Azure, or GCP) is a plus.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
• Experience with Investran or other financial systems.• Exposure to data governance and data catalog tools.• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with minimal supervision.
