- Perform detailed thermal analysis of the airframe.
- Develop thermal management solutions for airframe composites.
- Design and optimize cooling for systems and LRUs (actuators, avionics).
- Conduct parametric studies to optimize thermal design.
- Develop, refine CFD/FEA models to simulate thermal scenarios.
- Support test campaigns for data to validate models.
- Collaborate with aero, airframe, flight control, avionics, propulsion teams.
- Participate in design reviews and contribute to technical reports.
π― Requirements
- MS or PhD in Aerospace or Mechanical Engineering.
- 5+ years in thermal analysis/design in aerospace or automotive.
- Strong heat transfer fundamentals (conduction, convection, radiation).
- Experience with thermal management of high-power systems/LRUs.
- CFD/FEA tools: NASA Overflow/Fun3D, StarCCM+, Ansys Fluent, Nastran.
- Thermal testing and data correlation experience.
- Familiarity with aerospace design principles, materials, manufacturing.
- Python (preferred) or Matlab/Simulink.
- Excellent planning and issue-resolution skills.
- Strong technical, written, and verbal communication.
- Able to work in teams and independently.
- Experience in a fast-paced design environment.
