Staff Software Engineer, TradingTools

📋 Description

• Own the technical vision for Robinhood's trading front page.
• Build core services powering Portfolio, Watchlists, and Stock Detail with real-time data.
• Develop high-performance, low-latency systems for real-time trading at scale.
• Write production code, lead complex implementations, set engineering quality.
• Lead AI integrations into trading, portfolio, and discovery workflows.
• Collaborate with Product/Design to shape the roadmap for high-traffic surfaces.

🎯 Requirements

• 10+ years of experience building and operating large-scale, distributed systems.
• Backend development with Go, Python, or Java, with cloud-native architectures.
• 3+ years leading large-scale technical initiatives, spanning multiple teams.
• Strong grasp of system design, data modeling, and software fundamentals.
• Proven ability to simplify problems, make tradeoffs, and drive alignment.
• Strong ownership mindset with track record of delivering end-to-end outcomes and raising standards.
• Mentoring engineers and raising technical standards.
