- Design primitives: usage events, metrics, rate cards, contracts, invoices.
- Architect a scalable system to meter usage and support pricing changes.
- Build an entitlement layer separating pricing from product behavior.
- Work with SFDC, CPQ, and ERP to ensure coherent quote-to-cash flows.
- Ensure billing systems are trustworthy: idempotent events, reconciliation, observability.
🎯 Requirements
- 10+ years of software engineering with production backend systems.
- Deep experience architecting billing, payments, pricing, or quote-to-cash for B2B SaaS.
- API design and event-driven systems for high-volume data.
- Strong understanding of modern billing models: usage, subscriptions, credits, overages.
- Experience integrating with Salesforce, CPQ, NetSuite, payment platforms, and downstream finance tooling.
- Strong proficiency with JavaScript/TypeScript, REST, relational DBs, distributed systems, CI/CD.
