Staff Software Engineer, Data

📋 Description

• Be a data-scale SME; map storage, retrieval, safety, and data curation.
• Design/build data systems on a PostgreSQL-based stack; scale with you.
• Collaborate with Platform Engineering and R&D groups.
• Own and develop Database and data strategy; report to VP of Reliability.
• Make build vs buy decisions; advocate for the right data tools.
• Create internal docs; participate in Architecture forums and open decisions.

🎯 Requirements

• Hands-on design, development, and scaling of production infra.
• Extensive PostgreSQL knowledge; cloud offerings: AWS, GCP, Azure.
• Experience building low-level data systems or managed data platforms.
• Deep knowledge of DBs: Blob, NoSQL, Timeseries, Graph, Vector.
• Experience defining data-space requirements and tech choices.
• Strong Golang and Kubernetes skills; effective cross-border collaboration.
