Staff Software Engineer – Backend (Python / TypeScript / Big Data / AWS / Kubernetes)

📋 Description

• Design, build, and scale REST APIs and data pipelines for high-volume data.
• Architect backend services for high throughput and low latency.
• Develop data-intensive apps using Python, TypeScript, Spark, and AWS.
• Use Spark, EMR, Glue, Kafka to process very large datasets.
• Improve performance, reliability, and scalability across microservices.
• Collaborate with engineers, DevOps, and QA through the full lifecycle.
• Mentor developers, review code, and raise engineering quality.
• Automate deployments and CI/CD with Terraform, Serverless, and Kubernetes.

🎯 Requirements

• 7+ years backend or full-stack engineering with a backend focus.
• 7+ years Python experience (APIs, automation, data pipelines).
• 3+ years TypeScript / Node.js experience.
• Advanced AWS experience (EC2, EKS, Lambda, S3, DynamoDB, RDS).
• Strong Kubernetes experience deploying production workloads.
• Large datasets, distributed computing, batch/stream processing with Spark, Kafka.
