Staff Software Engineer, Backend (Continuous Integration)

📋 Description

• Own design, scalability, and reliability of build pipelines.
• Optimize CI build times, test coverage, and reporting.
• Implement monitoring, alerting, and incident response for CI.
• Lead CI enablement: tooling, automation, and best practices.
• Mentor CI engineers; foster ownership and collaboration.
• Align CI systems with product goals with engineering leadership.

🎯 Requirements

• Proven CI/build systems experience and developer productivity focus.
• Strong skills with GitHub, Buildkite, Artifactory, Bazel.
• Cloud-native: AWS, Kubernetes and IaC practices.
• Programming: Python, Kotlin, Java, or similar.
• Problem-solving with long-term vs short-term impact.
• Equivalent practical experience or Bachelor's degree.
• Experience managing large monorepos; Bazel preferred.
• Open source contribution or large-scale dev experience a plus.
