Staff Scientist, New Product Development

📋 Description

• Design, develop, and validate automated high-throughput NGS assays for CLIA labs
• Provide production support for automated high-throughput NGS assays in CLIA labs
• Manage technical projects and mentor junior staff in NGS-based assays
• Design and execute moderate-to-high complexity experiments; analyze data (JMP, R, Python, Excel)
• Ensure methods meet Natera quality standards with Clinical Lab & QA
• Coordinate with internal groups; act as technical lead for timely project execution
• Write study protocols, reports, and SOPs; train lab operators
• Identify areas for continuous improvement to shorten turnaround time
• Ability to manage Scientists and Research Associates

🎯 Requirements

• MS with 11+ years or PhD with 8+ years in assay development and automation for life sciences
• Proven track record developing/validating automated CLIA lab protocols
• Strong data analysis and interpretation of experimental data
• Deep technical knowledge of NGS biology and processes
