Staff Product Manager, OpenTelemetry

📋 Description

• Define and drive Datadog’s OpenTelemetry vision and roadmap across products.
• Drive customer discovery across products; synthesize insights from customers and the OpenTelemetry community.
• Partner with product and engineering leaders to strengthen native OpenTelemetry support across signals.
• Influence OpenTelemetry investment direction and product priorities by linking customer needs with trends.
• Define and track internal and external OpenTelemetry adoption metrics; report progress to leadership.
• Represent Datadog externally with customers and in industry forums; contribute to standards.

🎯 Requirements

• 8+ years in Product Management with ownership in infrastructure/observability/telemetry or developer platforms.
• Strong technical grasp of distributed systems, telemetry pipelines, libraries, and the OpenTelemetry ecosystem.
• Systems thinker who connects ingestion architecture, platform capabilities, and UX.
• Experience leading large cross-functional initiatives across product areas.
• Excellent communicator; able to influence senior engineering, design, and GTM stakeholders.
• Customer-focused and data-driven in decision making.
