Translate mission needs into system performance requirements
Develop architectures and drive implementation in-house or with partners
Lead rapid prototyping, early testing, and learning cycles
Collaborate across internal and external teams to turn concepts into hardware

🎯 Requirements

Bachelor’s or Master’s in Electrical, Optical, Mechanical, or Aerospace Eng
7+ years in laser communications, optical systems, or spacecraft comms
Proven ability to take complex tech from concept to qualification and deployment
Hands-on prototyping across optics, electronics, and mechanical subsystems
Deep understanding of optical subsystems, including PAT, modems, photonic hardware
Excellent communication to synthesize details and drive decisions across teams
