Staff Mission Operations Engineer

📋 Description

• Own large initiatives with engineers to develop ops procedures for safe operations.
• Provide technical/operational leadership for pre-flight tests to ensure readiness.
• Lead crewed/uncrewed missions for commissioning, on-orbit ops, and deorbit.
• Deep-dive telemetry analysis; deliver summaries and recommendations to stakeholders.
• Lead workflows to improve processes and systems for Mission Ops.
• Plan scope and create training materials for console operators.

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in aerospace, mechanical, software engineering, or other engineering discipline.
• 7+ years of experience operating complex systems.
• Demonstrated ability to work cross-functionally with other engineering disciplines.
• Ability to think critically in high-stress environments and rapidly evolving situations.
• Ability to disseminate critical engineering information effectively and clearly.
• Strong technical leadership ability.
