Staff Mechanical Engineer (Mechanisms)

📋 Description

• Design, build, and test Terran R mechanism systems end-to-end.
• Design stage separation, payload deployment, landing gear, and aero actuation.
• Collaborate with structures, avionics, and fluids teams; leverage additive manufacturing.
• Manage full design cycle: conceptualization, trade studies, analysis, manufacture, and test.
• Deliver on time and budget; drive manufacturability and speed.
• Lead own projects with ownership in ambiguity.

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering or related field.
• 8+ years in full cycle design, CAD, analysis, build, and test.
• Knowledge of kinematic synthesis, pneumatic/hydraulic actuation, mechatronics.
• Knowledge of structures strength, stability and fatigue.
• Basic knowledge of manufacturing processes, materials, and surface treatments.
• Proven hands-on hardware build experience and problem-solving.
• Nice to have: aerospace exp; NX/TeamCenter/Ansys/Femap; Python/MATLAB.
