Staff Mechanical Engineer, Electrode

📋 Description

• Lead design of electrode assemblies for battery cells.
• Develop functional requirements and DFMEAs with engineering teams.
• Prototype designs hands-on and build integrated prototypes.
• Release designs per best practices (drawings, tolerances).
• Demonstrate function via analysis (FEA, CFD) and testing.
• Work with vendors and ops to scale to high-volume production.

🎯 Requirements

• Degree in Mechanical Engineering; Bachelor's with 10+ years, or Master's with 8+ years.
• Proficiency in CAD with SolidWorks modeling and drafting.
• Proficient in DFMA; injection molded plastic and formed/stamped metal components.
• Prototyping techniques and machine shop experience.
• Familiarity with mechanical verification testing.
• Experience as a design lead or program lead on a team of Mechanical Engineers.
