Staff Mechanical Engineer

📋 Description

• Serve as the technical lead for cross-functional projects
• Drive strategic engineering projects
• Help define product features, requirements, and mechanical assembly; develop detailed mechanical designs that meet user and regulatory requirements with a focus on size, cost, time to market, and quality targets
• Work in a multi-disciplinary engineering team for new products to ensure successful product bring-up
• Work with external testing laboratories for product compliance and certification
• Participate in manufacturing transfer and pilot manufacturing activities

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree or higher in Mechanical Engineering or related degree
• 7+ years of experience with manufacturing and assembly process development
• 7+ years of experience with mechanical design and CAD tools; Solidworks preferred
• Experience with high-volume disposable medical devices
• Experience across all phases of medical device product development from concept through to design transfer
• 5+ years designing injection molded assemblies
