Staff Mechanical Design Engineer - Thermal Systems

📋 Description

• Architect, design, prototype, and test the thermal management system.
• Build and maintain thermal models to inform design decisions.
• Fabricate and test first-of-a-kind prototypes to validate design choices.
• Design for high-volume manufacturing to reduce cost.
• Lead vendor engagements and transition designs to high-volume production.
• Collaborate with Electrical/Controls to optimize actuator and sensor integration.

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor's in Mechanical Engineering with 8+ years' experience in mechanical design of equipment or fluid handling.
• Experience with first-principles fluids modeling and cost-down optimization.
• Experience with manufacturing or contract manufacturers.
• Experience optimizing mechanical and thermodynamic fluid interfaces.
• Strong sense of urgency and self-driven to meet targets.
• Direct product development experience in early-stage to production.
