Staff Manufacturing Engineer, Environmental Testing

📋 Description

• Collaborate with design teams on manufacturability and assembly of avionics components and wire harnesses
• Develop and optimize manufacturing processes and onboard equipment for avionics systems
• Create and maintain detailed manufacturing plans, assembly procedures, and work instructions
• Identify and resolve manufacturing challenges via root cause analysis and corrective actions
• Work with suppliers to ensure timely delivery of avionics components and approve supplier processes
• Perform hands-on assembly, integration, and testing of avionics systems

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or Aerospace Engineering
• 5+ years in manufacturing engineering (aerospace/avionics)
• 3+ years in design and manufacturing of vibration test fixtures
• 3+ years in design and manufacturing of thermal heat sinks and thermal vacuum fixtures
• Understanding of SMC-S-016
• Strong knowledge of avionics systems and electronics manufacturing
