Staff Manufacturing Engineer

📋 Description

• Work on Archer's challenging composite structures; supply manufacturing input to solve issues
• Mentor and guide manufacturing engineers and technicians; foster ownership and accountability
• Serve as primary shop-floor expert; lead root-cause analysis and corrective actions
• Collaborate with design team to provide manufacturing input during initial design stages
• Develop composite processing techniques using new approaches, materials, and tooling
• Drive tooling strategies and fixtures for prototype builds with high precision

🎯 Requirements

• 10+ years in aerospace manufacturing focused on airframe assembly and composites
• Bachelor's or advanced degree in Aerospace, Mechanical, or Manufacturing Engineering (or equivalent)
• Hands-on experience with composite materials; strong fabrication skills and assembly intuition
• Proven track record applying DFM principles to complex composite parts
• Understanding of composite part design, material properties, allowables and testing
• Proficiency in 3D CAD software (NX preferred); experience with Fibersim or Composite Workbench
