Staff Manufacturing Automation Engineer

📋 Description

• Own the performance and reliability of robotic and automated equipment.
• Define and implement OEE metrics to identify loss drivers.
• Drive project scopes from production data and downtime trends.
• Lead equipment improvement projects (mechanical, tooling, fixturing, layout).
• Create CAD designs to address reliability, ergonomics, quality, and throughput.
• Collaborate with controls engineers to specify requirements and validate signals.

🎯 Requirements

• 7+ years experience; Bachelor's in Mechanical, Mechatronics, Robotics, or Electrical Eng.
• Expertise with automated manufacturing equipment: robotics, sensors, actuators, vision systems.
• Deep functional knowledge of equipment engineering with ownership and sustainment.
• Strong hands-on troubleshooting across mechanical, electrical, and system-level issues.
• Fluency in robot operation and commissioning (Fanuc Robotics cert or equivalent).
• Ability to collaborate across equipment, controls, manufacturing, quality, and operations.
