Staff M&P Engineer, Adhesives

📋 Description

• Set up and manage internal materials test lab and procedures.
• Operate and maintain mechanical test systems for tension, compression, shear, fatigue.
• Develop and oversee FAA-conformed material qualification programs in-house and external labs.
• Author and maintain material specs, test plans, qualification procedures, and docs.
• Collaborate with design, manufacturing, and certification teams to meet requirements.
• Analyze test data; support failure investigations and corrective actions.

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor’s in Materials Science, Chemical Eng, or Mechanical Eng; Master’s preferred.
• 10+ years in aerospace or EV materials and process engineering.
• Hands-on experience operating mechanical test equipment and managing qualification programs.
• Strong understanding of FAA material qualification requirements under 14 CFR Part 23.
• Familiarity with composite manufacturing, adhesive bonding testing, and resins.
• Knowledge of standards including ASTM, MIL, and FAA Advisory Circulars.
