Staff Hardware Design Engineer

📋 Description

• Collaborate with software teams, supply chain, vendors to evolve hardware infra.
• Develop specifications, RFPs, and lifecycle requirements docs.
• Guide vendors to understand requirements and test next-gen hardware.
• Identify and drive SKU development (off-the-shelf, semi-custom, custom) to optimize CAPEX/TCO.
• Support hardware testing, firmware, BIOS changes; coordinate with ops to keep fleet current.
• Work cross-functionally to troubleshoot and triage hardware across full life cycle.

🎯 Requirements

• 8+ years hardware system architecture experience.
• Experience collaborating with leadership, stakeholders, and vendors.
• Detail-oriented documentation across hardware and tooling.
• Console servers, IPMI, SSH, PXE, and telemetry systems expertise.
• CDN hardware/software architecture and firmware development.
• CPU architectures, storage/memory subsystems knowledge; test automation.
