Staff Fullstack Software Engineer, Core Performance

📋 Description

• Drive web performance; profile React surfaces; flame graphs; ship measurable improvements.
• Lead cross-platform perf initiative with platform partners; set strategy and drive execution.
• End-to-end perf improvements: measure, root-cause, ship code, validate in production.
• Build and own measurement, instrumentation, and regression-detection systems across Core.
• Write production code in JavaScript/React; backend work in Python/Go.
• Set perf engineering standards; mentor IC3/IC4 on profiling and design.
• Apply AI tooling to perf work; optimize AI-assisted workflows across Core.
• Influence cross-org roadmaps and architecture; treat perf as a core product attribute.
• Experience on consumer user-facing product; shipped changes moving customer-visible metrics.

🎯 Requirements

• BS, MS, or PhD in Computer Science or related field with coding.
• 12+ years software engineering; 3+ years as a Senior.
• Proven track record delivering measurable perf improvements in production web apps.
• Experience using AI tooling (LLMs) to accelerate performance work.
• Experience optimizing AI-assisted engineering workflows; tool selection and guardrails.
• Production experience with Python or Go backend services.
• Experience leading cross-team architecture and design docs.
• Has worked on a consumer user-facing product and shipped customer-visible metrics.
• Strong written and verbal communication; influence roadmaps beyond reporting line.
