Staff Engineer, Storage Engine

📋 Description

• Design and implement distributed storage to scale data-intensive AI workloads.
• Develop exabyte-scale, S3-compatible object storage; integrate clusters.
• Leverage RDMA, GPU Direct Storage, and NFS/FUSE to optimize storage.
• Improve reliability, durability, security, and observability of the storage stack.
• Build metrics and dashboards; monitor and troubleshoot production storage.
• Collaborate cross-functionally to deliver storage across the stack; mentor engineers.

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor’s, Master’s, or PhD in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
• 8–10+ years in storage systems engineering or infrastructure.
• Hands-on with object storage or distributed filesystems in production.
• Experience with S3 and NFS; Ceph/DAOS or similar.
• Proficiency in Go, C, or Rust; ability to leverage AI tools to augment development.
• Familiar with observability tools (Prometheus, Grafana, ClickHouse) and Kubernetes.
