Staff Engineer, Platform Engineering

📋 Description

• Design and build major cloud architecture components: networking, storage, and compute abstractions.
• Drive the Kubernetes-based developer platform; improve scalability, cost attribution, and ergonomics.
• Raise reliability across Platform Engineering by defining SLIs, SLOs, observability, and failover.
• Drive FinOps: cost visibility, attribution, and optimization recommendations.
• Design AI-native developer experiences by integrating LLM-powered tooling into CI, build, monitoring, and local development workflows.

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor's or Master's in CS, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent).
• 9+ years in Software or Infrastructure Engineering in a senior IC role.
• Deep Kubernetes internals knowledge (Crossplane, Argo, Kubecost/OpenCost, GitOps).
• Experience migrating workloads between on-prem and major cloud providers (AWS, GCP).
• Experience with Infrastructure-as-Code (Terraform/CloudFormation; Terraform Cloud/Spacelift/Atlantis) and observability tooling (OpenTelemetry, Prometheus, Grafana, Datadog).
• Expert in AI-driven operations leveraging LLMs and agentic workflows to automate incidents and scaling.
• Demonstrated ability to influence technical roadmaps and mentor senior staff.
