Staff Electromechanical Engineer

📋 Description

• Lead and mentor a multidisciplinary electromechanical team.
• Own the electromechanical design of battery products (busbars, enclosures, interlocks).
• Address packaging challenges: isolation, sealing, thermal regulation, shock.
• Lead RCAs and cross-functional interface design.
• Mechanical design analysis: thermal, structural, assembly, testing.
• Own design from conception through iterations to mass production.
• Create drawings and manufacturing instructions for parts and assemblies.
• Design electromechanical/electrical systems for test stand safety and improvements.

🎯 Requirements

• Degree in Mechanical/Mechatronics; bachelor's 8+ yrs or master's 6+ yrs of relevant exp.
• Proficient in CAD (SolidWorks, NX, etc.).
• Cost modeling and multi-physics sims (thermal/CFD/structural).
• Strong mechanical/electrical fundamentals, GD&T, and first principles.
• Experience with high-volume manufacturing, tight tolerances, DFM/DFA.
• Solid understanding of power distribution and protection devices.
• Creepage/clearance analysis per IEC/UL standards.
• Model resistive losses; perform current density analysis for busbars.
