- Perform detailed 1D/3D flow and thermal analyses for ECS and fuselage ventilation
- Develop steady-state and transient thermal/fluid models with tools such as Ansys Fluent, Start CCM+, Matlab
- Support ECS architecture: air distribution, heat exchanger sizing, control strategies
- Analyze pressure drops, mass flow distributions, and cabin air mixing under flight/ground
- Evaluate heat loads from avionics, electronics, and occupants to meet targets
- Correlate analytical models with test data from component and system validation
🎯 Requirements
- MS or PhD in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering (or related)
- 5+ years of thermal/flow analysis experience
- Proficiency with thermal/fluid modeling tools (Thermal Desktop, SINDA/Fluint, Flownex, GT-Suite)
- CFD tools such as ANSYS Fluent, Star-CCM+, or OpenFOAM for detailed flow assessments
- Familiarity with DO-160 and environmental qualification standards
- Data analysis and scripting (Python or MATLAB); strong documentation
