Staff Data Scientist (Product & Ops)

📋 Description

• Partner with cross-functional teams to turn questions into analytics recommendations.
• Build models and analyses to identify key roadmap items.
• Influence leaders to adopt recommendations and define metrics that matter.
• Collaborate with Analytics and Data Engineering to define objectives and scale frameworks.
• Be a causal inference expert across methods (e.g., RCT, DiD, IPW, PS, IV).
• Serve as tech lead for the Data Science org with mentorship.

🎯 Requirements

• 7+ years in data science/analytics; at least 3 in tech lead.
• Navigate ambiguous data environments; startup experience preferred.
• Modeling with measurable adoption and impact.
• Causal inference methods: RCT, DiD, IPW, Propensity Score, IV.
• Experience leveraging LLMs on text to generate insights.
• Strong SQL, Python or R, ELT/ETL, Snowflake, dbt, BI tools; run experiments; NYC onsite within 75-minute commute.
