Staff Accountant – Revenue Accounting

📋 Description

• Record and reconcile revenue and COGS in the GL.
• Process and apply customer payments; investigate discrepancies.
• Prepare journals, reconciliations, and revenue/COGS schedules.
• Reconcile sub-ledgers to GL; resolve variances.
• Support month-end and quarter-end close for revenue-related accounts.
• Maintain documentation and audit trails for revenue transactions.
• Assist with audit requests and provide supporting documentation as needed.
• Develop and maintain Excel-based reports and reconciliations to support revenue operations.

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance required.
• 1–2 years accounting experience preferred; entry-level considered.
• Strong understanding of GAAP and revenue concepts.
• Advanced Excel skills (PivotTables, lookups, large data).
• Experience with ERP systems and accounting software preferred.
• Strong attention to detail; ability to manage multiple priorities.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Strong communication and cross-team collaboration skills.
