Staff Accountant

📋 Description

• Revenue and invoicing: Create invoices; manage deferred revenue and revenue recognition; prepare monthly entries.
• Transaction documentation: Gather receipts, expense backup, approvals for coding/close.
• Month-end and year-end close: Process payroll, fund 401(k), post journals, accruals, reclassifications.
• Account reconciliations: Maintain recurring reconciliations across cash, prepaid, payroll liabilities.
• Day-to-day transactions: Support accounts payable, expense coding, and fixed-asset accounting across entities.
• Benefits and payroll accounting: Process payroll entries, reconcile carrier invoices, partner with HR and PEO.

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting/Finance or related field; 2–4 years accounting experience.
• Strong GAAP knowledge; journal entries, reconciliations, and month-end close.
• Excel proficiency; lookups, pivots, reconciliation schedules.
• AI curiosity and adoption; using AI tools in workflow.
• Detail orientation; able to own tasks end-to-end with oversight.
• Clear communication with employees, vendors, and leadership.
