📋 Description

• Establish long-term direction across query observability, warehouse mgmt, and account governance.
• Design and lead projects improving performance, reliability, and cost transparency.
• Build agentic observability and governance across query, warehouse, and account.
• Partner with Databricks SQL, Unity Catalog, AI, security, and platform teams.
• Mentor senior engineers, set standards, and recruit top talent.
• Champion reliable, high-quality software and strong operational practices.
• Pay Range Zone 1: $228,600–$314,250 USD.

🎯 Requirements

• 12+ years building large-scale distributed systems, observability, or governance.
• Proven track record as a technical leader in multi-stakeholder environments.
• Deep CS fundamentals (algorithms, data structures, systems design).
• Experience with observability pipelines, query engines, tracing, time-series storage, or data governance.
• Strong cross-functional communication across engineering, product, and infra.
• BS in Computer Science or equivalent; MS/PhD a plus.
• Bonus: experience building agentic experiences using LLMs.
