📋 Description

• Apply optics and photonics to optical system development.
• Define requirements for high-performance systems in challenging environments.
• Lead optical architecture via internal trade studies and risk reduction testing.
• Participate in verification testing and environmental qualification.
• Maintain link budgets, specs, and system capabilities data.
• Interface with manufacturing and supply chain to ensure manufacturability.

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in physics, CS, electrical engineering, or related STEM.
• 2+ years optics, photonics, laser tech, or precision design/testing.
• 1+ years programming in C++, MATLAB, and/or Python.
• Master’s degree or PhD in physics or engineering (preferred).
• Proficiency with Zemax for optical analysis.
• Experience with pointing, acquisition, tracking; and optical test equipment.
