Sr. Software Engineer (Platform Team)

📋 Description

• Lead design/architecture of secure, scalable AI platforms and proxies used company-wide
• Own end-to-end platform initiatives: strategy, implementation, testing, deployment
• Onboard frontier models and expand compute; optimize proxy systems for security and logging
• Accelerate SpaceX production by enabling teams to move faster with trustworthy AI
• Mentor engineers, build shared AI products/prompts/infrastructure, and provide hands-on support
• Develop and scale tools that mitigate risk, like AI-powered code review and PR automation

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor's in CS/CE or related eng; 5+ years building production software; or 7+ years without degree
• Experience building/operating production platforms (AI/ML infra, dev platforms, or large-scale backends)
• Hands-on Docker, Kubernetes, security architecture, and multi-cloud/frontier model integrations
• Proficiency in Python and other languages such as Go, Java, TypeScript, or Rust
• Experience with CI/CD and infrastructure-as-code; reliable distributed systems
• Experience mentoring engineers and collaborating with ML researchers, security, and ops
