Sr. Propulsion Engineer (Raptor Combustion Devices)

📋 Description

• Own combustor design, production, and operation from concept to flight.
• Drive changes for reliability, simplification, and performance.
• Develop combustor design and hardware from concept through testing and production.
• Coordinate a peer team and collaborate with engineers to meet system requirements.
• Create test requirements and participate in early tests to qualify hardware.
• Analyze test and flight data; iterate designs and make go/no-go decisions.

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering.
• 4+ years with rocket/jet engine hardware or high-pressure fluid systems.
• Master’s degree or higher in mechanical/aerospace engineering (preferred).
• 6+ years with jet/rocket engines or high-pressure fluids (preferred).
• Proficiency in compressible/incompressible flow, combustion, acoustics, heat transfer.
• Experience with test campaigns, data analysis, and making technical decisions.
