- Translate marketplace requirements into tax platform capabilities for core product platforms.
- Partner with design, engineering, legal, accounting, and finance on new products.
- Lead end-to-end tax deployment: design review, testing, launch, reporting.
- Support teams on tax issues (Community, Support, Risk & Compliance, Trust & Safety).
- Build understanding of Upwork’s tax positions and obligations.
🎯 Requirements
- Strong product management experience in marketplaces; compliance products preferred.
- Conversant with modern technologies and UX principles for global scale.
- Drive and willingness to go above and beyond with strong work ethic.
- Balance technical and commercial savvy; communicate impact and feasibility.
- Strong interpersonal skills to influence across the organization.
- Knowledge of tax compliance is a plus but not mandatory.
